Lyschel Hicks lives to serve others in all aspects of her life. She is a motivated self-starter, philanthropist, former runway/hair model turned fitness enthusiast. Some of her modeling accomplishments include traveling with the Vogue/ Esquire Runway Tour, Aveda ‘Congress’, national print ad in Essence Magazine, Sally’s Beauty Supply product placement, International Beauty Show in New York, as well as photo shoots in Paris and several runway shows in various cities. As a fitness enthusiast she now encourages others towards their health and fitness goals and leads by example. Lyschel is currently strength training 5 days a week to compete in bikini fitness on a national level while also still ripping the runway in high fashion couture. She also serves on her dance ministry team at her local church.
Lyschel is very passionate about serving not only her local community through outreach programs for those living in the margins of society in Atlanta, but also the global community abroad. Lyschel holds Safehouse Outreach in Atlanta very close to her heart. She donates her time and talent to preparing meals, providing Christmas gifts and school supplies, and praying with the clients without homes of SafeHouse Outreach in Atlanta. She has also taken care of her mother with advancing Alzheimer’s and mentored 2 young women who have all lived with her in her home. Lyschel has also traveled with Habitat for Humanity to El Salvador and Honduras with the goal of ‘making sure that every family has a decent place to live one home at a time’. Her construction skills include installing reinforced steel bars, mixing concrete, digging ditches, and building cinderblock walls. She thoroughly enjoys using her hands to build homes for families in need. Lyschel plans to continue to use her mind, body, and resources to continue to serve others in excellence.
